The Hidden Cost of
Bad Business Writing

Every profession in every industry requires more on-the-job writing than ever before. An estimated two-thirds of employees in large American companies are expected to write as part of their job. Effective business writing affects the bottom line more than you might think. Careless, inaccurate, or unclear writing can cost a company millions in costs related to printing, litigation, lost business, and much more. Brian O'Neill explores the connection between business writing and profitability. Check out Brian's web site for more information:http://www.brianeoneill.com

Hi Tim,

Last week's meeting we celebrated 50 years of Rotary Service for King Davis. King's family was in attendance and I believe he was very much surprised and properly honored. Congratulations to King. King received local and international awards as well as one very important stuff animal presented to him by Bill Klueber.

Comedy night looked to be another Rotary success. We had many laughs at the Georgetown Club. Thanks to all who contributed to the nights event. Special thanks to Bonnie(Bonita) for her efforts in ticket sales and distribution as well as working the door at the Friday night event. The presidential swan managed to show up at the event and was seen taking photos with the comedians.

The board is currently dealing with the proposed change of meeting place once again. We will have more information following our regular board meeting on 10/31.
