Teamwork Saves the Day
President’s
Message
By Mike Hart
Iast week
was a good demonstration of how dedicated many of the members
of our club are and how well we all work together. When we suddenly
became aware on Monday that we were responsible for Community
Meals that night, many of our members sprang into action and
made the event a complete success. Led by Don Beaton, Bernie
Clohisy, and Bill Klueber, the troops were rallied, the deserts
were obtained and approximately 165 less fortunate people in
our community were fortunately fed that evening.
Congratulations
to all who participated. By the way Terry Beaton, your dad
threw you under the bus at the meeting on Thursday and
blamed the whole mix-up on you so I guess I will be forced to
fine you when you next appear.
As I write
this we are expecting a Noreaster this weekend, which is a reminder
that Winter is still very much
with us. Since my
ski vacation comes up a week from now, I am not upset at all
with the forecast.President
Mike

Welcome
Cathy Bresnahan!
Here ‘n’ There
By
Joe Cleary
If
at first you don’t succeed, don’t take
any more stupid chances.
Even
with pitchers and catchers reporting for Spring Training
Saturday, we are still
awarding our football
MVP Rotary Awards – courtesy of our birthday
boy, Ken Smith.
We
welcome our newest member, Cathy Bresnahan, who
was inducted with decorum and dignity by Past District
Governor
Bill Adams. Cathy is the director of the Haverhill
Council on Aging, and is a familiar face to many
of us. She is
also quickly learning about the Rotary fining policies
of President Mike.
Words
of encouragement may cost nothing to give, but they’re priceless to the
receiver. So give frequently and abundantly.
