Here 'N There

Forward March!

As we turn the calendar, it is worthwhile reflecting that if Tuesday Weld were to marry Frederick March III, she'd be Tuesday March 3rd.

March is coming in like a Kiwanian and will go out like a Rotarian!

Welcome to our newest Rotarian, Jim Tomacchio of STAT Delivery Service. Jim is sponsored by Charlene Laprel.

Comedy Night approaches on March 16. Plan on bringing friends and family for one happy evening.

If you want to see "Leadership by Example" in Action, President Darlene is our best example. Darlene Beal's trip to India took her to Old Delhi India where Rotarians would immunize children 5 years of age or younger. The Delhi West Rotary Club sponsored the immunization clinic. That club also sponsors a vocational center for training for women.

The Rotarians built washing platforms for Women to use to wash clothing so that it would not pollute the clean water. Water management is a serious concern.

The President of India, who Darlene met, was very attuned to the work of Rotary throughout the world.

Darlene will have a detailed presentation in the future.

Program Highlights

Julian Rich introduced Stephanie Vincent and Beth Flanagan of the Residences at Riverwalk in Amesbury. Riverwalk is a new residential mill conversion complex located between the Powow River and an abandoned railroad right of way in the Carriage Hill section of Amesbury. Amesbury was a thriving carriage and automotive body manufacturing center in the late 19th and early 20th century.

There are 1, 2, or 3 bedroom apartments available in a variety of floor plans. There are generous amenities and features in the 69 apartment home and the 18 town homes.

President Darlene was welcomed back with flowers from her trip to India.

James Tomacchio is inducted as our newest club member by Joe Cleary. Remember to sign his book and welcome him to Rotary.
