Good Morning Tim,

Mary Gale, Rotary's Youth Exchange Officer is still looking for our first host family. As a reminder, this is only a 3 month commitment beginning at the end of August. Our exchange student from Milan Italy, Luka, is a very good student and is looking forward to his experience. Haverhill Rotary is conducting a Patio Reception for Youth Exchange Host Family Information on Wednesday, June 13 at 6:30pm at the Montessori School 55 Saltonstall Road. The host family does not have to be a Rotary family. So, if you have a neighbor or friend who is interested, please tell them about the information night.

A note from one of District 7930 outbound students currently on a Youth Exchange: My exchange year was amazing. I don't know what I would have done differently, because I feel everything I have done is more than I thought I could ever have done or achieved. I would most definitely recommend Rotary to other people, because it provides a structure to things that you don't get with other programs, the trips (at least in my district) are amazing, you have a club who helps you out (also my club, when they heard how hard I worked to come here, and seeing as I could speak German before I got here, are paying for my entire Euro tour!!!), and the Rotarians are really, really generous people. I've already been all over with various Rotarians, in many cities, and done many fun things; and that was really great to have. I know I am different than when I left in August, although I can't quite say how. I know I am more open, more talkative, not so serious and uptight, older, but also able to laugh and be younger, more adventurous, and definitely much more able to enjoy life!

Thank you and the rotary club again for this amazing experience, I shall never ever forget it!

The Haverhill Gazette, "Best Places" survey has hit the stands: There is a question in the survey asking " What is the best service club in Haverhill? We all know the answer...ROTARY! This is our year to win the title of BEST Service Club. We can do it if we all fill out the form and send it back to the Gazette by June 15.

Until next time,
Darlene
