President’s Message

President Michel

Fellow Rotarians,

Two weeks ago we unveiled Mark Hayden’s painting for the first Haverhill Rotary Club Art Fundraiser.  This past week we showed you the video clip about the artist and the painting ‘the Heart of the Valley’.  Attached is the link, so you can view it too:

credit to Chris Bowden and HCMedia.  Thank you Chris and Darlene for the superb work!

We will be inducting 2 new members:  Steve Bowen, Hub International, and Jim Smith, MTM Insurance,

Foundation Day is November 5th at Nichol’s Village.  There are three ways the Club is raising funds the Rotary Foundation:

First: The lunch is donated by our good friend and Rotary Member Jered Stewart and Nichol’s Village and every lunch served ($15.00 each) will be going straight to Foundation.

Second: Rotarians will bring pies and their check book.  The pies will be auctioned of to the highest bidder.  All funds raised will go to the Rotary Foundation.

Third:  Every member is suggested to donate $100/year to the foundation.  As an alternative to donating $100 all at once you can opt to spread the payments throughout the year by having a monthly withdrawal from your bank account.  If you need help setting this up please let Harry Korslund know.

This Thursday’s Speaker is Jamie Forbes: Opus Advisers

The topic for for his discussion is philanthropy and the work that he does as a philanthropy advisor for both individuals and companies.
