Te Auk Chun

Make sure you don't miss this important mystery guest. The topic is of the highest importance to Haverhill Rotary.
March 11, 2008

Rotary is amazing. This week I'll be heading to the PETS
(President-Elect Training Seminar), put on by our district and seven
others in the Northeast US. It will bring together some 450
"President-Elects" to help prepare us for club leadership starting in July of this year. To me, this level of infrastructure is remarkable
for what is essentially an all volunteer effort, at least until one gets
pretty deep into the entire international organization. From what I
understand, each of our Haverhill Club Presidents, at least in the
recent past, has attended this seminar. I'm excited and honored and
hope I can represent Haverhill well. More in the weeks to come...

Tatiana and Michael are students from Haverhill High School. They came to visit us last week at lunch and are part of the Interact program run by Rotarian Phil Brown.
Auction Items
Now is the time for all good men(and women) to come to the aid of their country...and Haverhill Rotary by collecting highly valuable items to be sold at our Silent Auction which will be held in May. Items should have an approximate value of $15,000.00 each. Since likely they will not, anything having a value of over $150.00 and is either brand new or has some type of antiquity value will be acceptable. Who do you know that has Red Sox season tickets? Pry a pair or two away from them and tell them why Haverhill Rotary is such a deserving recipient of their tax deductible donation.
John McCain to Speak at Haverhill Rotary
Now that headline would look great at the top of this newsletter. The truth is that no one has asked John to speak to us yet. If anyone know John personally or if you know someone else who would make an interesting speaker for our meetings now is the time to ask. We have twelve open slots between now and the end of our fiscal year. You have been officially requested to help out in this area. Contact John Cuneo with potential speakers and to reserve a date.
