Everyone's Help is Needed - Sell, Sell, Sell! Only 2 Weeks Left

This week, we continue to Sell, sell, sell and tag, tag, tag.
Our actual sales are up over 2000 ducks now. Members are working hard on many levels to sell more ducks, quacker's dozens and flocks. As always, Haverhill Rotarians are powering through at the end. If you have time this or next Thursday or Friday evening and want to sell at the Crescent Yacht Club from about 6 PM on, that's been offered as a possible good spot. Please call John, Sheryl or Diane to set that up. Probably a pair of people at a time is good.
Keep finding more ways to circulate adoption papers. David Thomas sent them out to all his Bethany residents and also handed out hundreds personally at a Fisher Cats game. See if you can send them out in your company payroll, at your church or synagogue, or your kids' PTO.
Team Lunch Meeting
This Thursday at lunch, we'll meet together and also in teams. Team Leaders, please think about what you are doing and what you need help with. If you are not sure, please call me, Diane or Sheryl BEFORE the meeting.
Fishing Nets Needed
Keeping in mind the final race day, aside from coming and bringing a friend to help out, a tool we really still need help with is 8 to 10 large hand-held fishing nets to retrieve ducks after the race. Do you have one or know were you can borrow one for a few hours for Saturday, September 12th? It would help tremendously! Please let Sheryll, Diane or me know ASAP. Thanks!
Tagging Party
This Thursday AFTER lunch, we'll quickly reconvene at 2 PM at Tops Electronics, 105 Ward Hill Ave., Vince Bonanno's business. We need "all hands on ducks" to remove tags from thousands of ducks, clean, retag and count all ducks to swim in the Merrimack. The phrase "many hands make light work" could never be more true. Please bring a friend. If you can also bring some favorite music on cd's, that's great! If you have a favorite tool for efficient scraping, like a putty knife, bring it with a label and your name on it. We expect several youth taggers after they get out of school, i.e., around 3 or so. If you can't come at 2 but can come later, call me at 978 994 2214 to see whether we are still tagging!
Grand Prize Display
The Grand Prize Nissan Versa was parked next to Atwood Monument for display last week. It is now parked at 40 Kenoza Ave. next to Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Its large yellow banner disappeared for a day, but was recovered and is currently in safekeeping. The Versa's final week will be at the corner of Carlton and Broadway (Rt. 97) just before that crosses over I-495.
Volunteers Needed to Wear Quacky Costume
Finally, Quacky's costume and 12 foot balloon arrive in the next few days. If you are willing to wear the costume on a street corner, at Rockingham Motors or another fun site, even for just an hour's visibility, (Come on! No one will know it's you!), please send me an email or call me at 978 994 2214.
Incidentally, Quacky's been sighted since the power boat races most recently at Cedardale, working out, prepping and conditioning for the race. Watch HCTV to see him burning up the cycling and treadmill machines and churning down the pool. It's really pretty funny!
See you soon!
